![]() bring back an old fashioned, simple log flume! One of the things that has always most impressed me is Cedar Points ability to move large numbers of people through the rides quickly. They now only have 3 water rides and all three rides are designed to drench you. not so wet that you have to change clothes or wear a suit, but wet enough to cool off on a hot day. In the ride department, about the only complaint is the lack of a mild water ride. My daughter's first non kiddie coaster ride was Iron Dragon and it is still one of her favorites. a very easy coaster to ride, smooth easy ride without a lot of speed or loops. Seriously, I think almost everyone could ride Iron Dragon. from Woodstock Express for the kids to mild coasters like Iron Dragon, Mine Ride, and Disaster Transport to the little more thrilling Gemini, Wildcat and Blue Streak to the more intense like Mean Streak, Wicked Twister, Corkscrew to the mega coasters Raptor (my favorite), Magnum, Maverick, Milleneum Force and Top Thrill Dragster. What is good about Cedar Points coasters is that they have all sizes and thrill levels. sorry I have not become brave enough to try those out! Then of course come the roller coasters, the part Cedar Point is known for. Next come the intense, non-coaster rides like SkyHawk, Chaos, and MaxAir. Then it has "mid size" rides for those who want a little more action (but not too much.) Things like Matterhorn, Scrambler, Cedar Downs (still one of my favorite rides even after 30 years), Calypso, Troika, etc. Two great kiddie areas, lots of "slow" rides like the old cars, turnpike cars, train, jungle cruise, ferris wheel, space spiral for those times when you need to relax. First, Cedar Point has a large number of rides which appeal to many ages. It puts Kings Island and Dollywood to shame. I have been to many amusement parks and Cedar Point is by far the best for a number of reasons. I have been going to Cedar Point since I was 3 or 4 years old and now in my 40's and enjoy it still. We will go back and hopefully next time Ill be able to ride the big 3! The Maverick was my favorite, Magum was alot of fun and the Gemini was a great hybrid wooden/steel track coaster that my group rode numerous times over 2 days. There are many other great rides at the park. I still had a great time and enjoyed our stay at the park. If you have an issue with bugs I would recommend staying elsewhere at Cedar Point. We bought a big citronella (sp?) candle and a deep woods fogger and it still didnt keep the bugs from getting in our cabin. ![]() The only other negative were the lake bugs that were EVERYWHERE at Lighthouse Point. ![]() Very disheartening after driving 8 hours to get to the park with these 3 being the obvious top 3 rides I was looking to ride. One of the longtime patrons told me that if you come later in the season some of the belts have stretched and he was able to fit. There are no different sizes and no extenders. On these 3 rides there is no seat belt, just a 3-4" belt that comes off the shoulder restraint/lap restraint and clips into the seat itself. Every other roller coaster at the park has a regular seat belt in addition to the lap belt. Make sure you sit in the seat at the ride entrance to make sure you will fit so you dont sit in line for a long time only to be disappointed/embarrassed by not being able to fit. After talking to some fellow big guys in the park that met the same misfortune I was told that a few years ago Cedar Point changed the length of the belts on these three rides in an effort to keep people of size off the rides. I couldnt fit on the Top Thrill Dragster, Millenium Force or Wicked Twister. If you weigh more than 240 you may not be able to ride 3 of the best rides in the park.
